A very warm welcome back to the Miratel Blog as we enter the final stretch of 2014 at last. We hope that your own nonprofit fundraising efforts have proven to be very successful over the last twelve months and that in some small way our blog has helped you by furnishing some new ideas and insight about best practices within the industry.

It’s been a dynamic year for nonprofits due in part to the constantly evolving world of technology and social media in conjunction with a donor audience who are seeking perhaps more than ever to be informed, inspired and involved. While the final studies are still yet to be published it also looks that the overall results in the fundraising sector will be positive again with some slight growth versus a very strong 2013. Many will align this to more favourable economic conditions but that overlooks what in general are the exemplary efforts being made by fundraising managers and the employees that they lead every day of the year.

The innovation and sheer dedication in the sector serve as an inspiration to us all and I hope that you take some time at the end of the year to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends however you choose to celebrate the season.
