10-best-countries-to-live-for-expatsThe Expat Explorer survey was published by the HSBC Group, one of the “world’s largest banking and financial services organizations” and the survey “is the largest global expat survey of its kind.” The methodology used involved responses from 7,000 expats who answered questions “relating to their finances, quality of life and even what it’s like to raise children abroad.” To get these results three major criteria were used: economics, experience and raising children. These categories were then broken down into forty-four sub-categories. The information in this study highlights the best places to live when it comes to quality of life and opportunity.

The 10 best places to live, according to the survey are:

  1. China – Score: 0.48

  3. Singapore – Score: 0.48
  4. Cayman Islands – Score: 0.47

This is an important survey as it is a guide for the world’s growing expat community. Also it highlights how desirable countries are to those looking for opportunities abroad. Canadians can take pride in knowing that others regard our nation so favourably.
