CSR – From Customer Service Representative to Corporate Social Responsibility
Back in 2000 when Miratel began, the term CSR referred exclusively to our agents – our customer service representatives. In recent years the acronym has taken on different proportions with the emergence of corporate social responsibility and the importance of its role in everyday business operations.
Miratel was founded with a commitment to the highest standards of integrity, workplace conduct and business ethics, and we are proud to operate under those same principles today. Over time and in respect of that foundation, we have established a firm corporate responsibility program that expands on those original principles beyond our workplace and into our global community. As the world around us continues to change, so do the expectations of business. The objective of our CSR program is simple – meet those expectations head-on. By doing things a little different and taking a new approach we can continue to grow and satisfy our collective business needs today while protecting the interests of tomorrow’s generation.
Integrating corporate responsibility into our everyday business has required continuous effort to set the right priorities, allocate the appropriate resources and implementing the best plans and initiatives while properly communicating ever-evolving objectives to our employees and partners. We have come to realize and embrace that this is ongoing work and not a task with a defined start and finish.
